Rod Stewart, fresh from knocking back a no doubt lucrative offer to reform The Faces, has decided to go back to his hugely successful ‘Great American Songbook’ series, with the fifth installment on the way.
Just when you thought there were no standards left to do, Rod has regurgitated such classics as 'Fly Me To The Moon, 'I Get A Kick Out Of You', 'Moon River' and 'I've Got You Under My Skin'.It's little wonder Stewart wants to return to this. The first album in the series, 'Stardust', was released in 2004 and saw his first #1 Billboard debut in the USA as well as his first Grammy.
I never thought I'd see the day when I thought Mick Hucknall was cooler than Rod Stewart.
