It was a big week for new music on the US album chart with debuts from six artists in the Top 10.
There were a few surprises. Soul singer KEM and singer songwriter Ray Lamontange did better than Iron Maiden. Country star Trace Atkins had another hit, David Gray was back in the chart and John Mellencamp still proved to have selling power.Kem had the biggest selling debut at the week with 'Intimacy' charting at number 2 on sales of around 76,000.
Ray Lamontagne was at number 3 with 'God Willin' selling around 64,000.
Iron Maiden came in at 4 with 62,000 sales for 'The Final Frontier'.
Also in the top 10 were Trace Adkins 'Cowboy's Back In Town' at 5, David Gray 'Foundling' at 9 and John Mellencamp 'No Better Than This' at 10.
