Singer for the stalled System Of A Down, Serj Tankian, has spoken about his second solo album.
The album will be called Imperfect Harmonies and will follow up his 2007 solo debut Elect The Dead and a live version of that album with the Auckland Symphony Orchestra released in February this year.Tankian says that Imperfect Harmonies will be more electronic and orchestral than the more prog rock oriented Elect The Dead.
Tankian said in a Warner press release, "I have been calling the music 'electro-orchestral-jazz-rock' because it has all of those aspects in prominence within the songs".
The album was going to be released on September 7 but it has been delayed until September 21 to accommodate sourcing the eco-friendly tree-free paper packaging he also used his first solo album.
While System Of A Down is on indefinite hiatus, Tankian will take his show on the road, doing an extensive European and UK festival tour in August, then head to Canada and the US through September and October.
He'll also perform another symphony show in Los Angeles on September 18.
