Prodigal fuzz rockers Wolfmother will top the Fat As Butter festival on the Newcastle foreshore.
Wolfmother are currently back in their home country as part of their 18 month-long tour for Cosmic Egg.After their strange couple of shows at relatively tiny venues up the East Coast, they will spend August gambolling across the US.
But they've already booked in for an October slot back in Australia as the major headliner for Fat As Butter, which kicks off the Australian festival season.
This is the third Fat As Butter fest, with previous acts Hilltop Hoods, Grinspoon, Art Vs Science, Blue Juice, Birds of Tokyo, Faker, Regurgitator, The Potbelleez and The Dandy Warhols rocking Camp Shortland in Newcastle.
This year's festival takes place on Saturday October 23 and tickets will go on sale July 26, with the rest of the artists to be announced soon.
