You may or may not recall our previous report that after skipping out on his appearance at the Fat As Butter Festival in October 2011(for which he had been paid $55000 in advance), Flo Rida was served legal papers through facebook by Fat As Butter promoters Mothership Music.
Judge Judith Gibson of the NSW District Court ordered that Flo Rida and his management group VIP Entertainment and Concepts to pay $380,400 in damages and $37,745 in legal fees.
The Flo Rida no show apparently caused havoc for Fat As Butter promoters as 2000 angry punters made their exodus from the Newcastle event after being told that Flo Rida would not perform. According to The Age Judge Gibson declared "The no-show by Flo Rida damaged the trading reputation of the plaintiff, impacting its ability to stage future events, attract patrons and compete with rivals in the music event industry.."
