Conor Oberst has been amongst the most vocal protesters of the Arizona Immigration law and now that his home state of Nebraska has passed a similar one, he’s going to get even louder.
According to Omaha.com, a festival in downtown Benson (a suburb of Omaha) will take place on July 31 featuring Bright Eyes, Cursive, Lullaby for the Working Class and a reunited Desaparecidos.Oberst was a part of The Desaparecidos in the early 00s, releasing one album 'Read Music/Speak Spanish' in 2002 but the band has layed pretty much dormant since then.
The show will benefit the American Civil Liberties Union and help them fight the law.
Hopefully other states don't follow Nebraska and Arizona's lead with this, or artists will have to stop touring America altogether.
