The almighty Splendour in the Grass is just a few weeks away, but the spectacular lineup has changed ever so slightly.
Regrettably The Ting Tings and The Middle East have been forced to cancel their appearances at Splendour, but they have been replaced by Art vs. Science and Sally Seltmann. The Ting Tings said in a statement that "due to the rescheduling of the next Ting Tings album to later in 2010 the band sadly have decided to delay their Australian tour and this of course means they will not be able to play Splendour in 2010."
The Middle East offer a similar reason, with the press release from Splendour in the Grass explaining that "due to an extended recording schedule, The Middle East will be withdrawing from the Splendour in the Grass line up to complete their debut album. The band apologises for any inconvenience caused."
Fans of the Ting Tings and The Middle East should note, however, that the festival still boasts one of the most talked about line ups in Australian music history and includes The Pixies, Goldfrapp, Richard Ashcroft, Jonsi, BRMC and plenty more.
