Lady Gaga is about to set another record. She has 10 million Facebook fans making her the biggest living person on the social site.
By living, yes, she is outdone by the dead. Michael Jackson has 13 million fans but the living Gaga is set to achieve 10 million fans on Facebook or, indeed, on any single social network.Lady Gaga overtook Barack Obama as the most popular living person on Facebook on 25th June. Only five entities, none of them living people, now have more Facebook fans than Lady Gaga, including the late Michael Jackson, and Facebook itself.
As well as becoming the most popular living person, Lady Gaga remains the fastest growing star on Facebook, adding 1.9m fans last month alone, and finding over 140,000 new fans each day. Even with World Cup fever at its peak, Soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo could not equal the queen of pop's fan-pulling power.
