Lady Gaga is the most powerful celebrity in the world, outranking Oprah Winfrey, according to Forbes magazine.
Forbes released its annual Celebrity 100 Power List today and ranked Gaga ahead of Oprah because of her Facebook and Twitter followers, not her earnings.
Gaga made $90 million in the past year. Oprah earned $290 million but Lady Gaga has 32 million Facebook followers and 10 million Twitter followers.
Quite a few celebrities earned more than Lady Gaga but were down the list. U2 made $195 million and ranked at no. 5, Elton John made $100 million and ranked at no. 6 and Bon Jovi made $100 million and ranked at no. 8, all below Justin Bieber who earned $53 million and ranked at no. 3.
Outside the Top 10 Katy Perry was at 12 and Donald Trump at 17 but Britney Spears went from no. 6 to out of the 100.
