Bee Gee Barry Gibb has bought the former home of late country legends Johnny and June Carter Cash to find inspiration in writing his upcoming country album.
The lakeside estate in Tennessee will be restored by Gibb, who will move in and use it as his second home."It's going to be nice," Gibb was quoted as saying at reception in his honour. "We'd like to use it as our second home. I would like to come here and write songs. I am planning on making a country album. That is really who I am."
His two sons will be working on the album with him.
Gibb founded the Bee Gees in Brisbane, Australia with his two brothers Maurice and Robin before relocating to England and becoming one of the most successful artists of all time. Hits like 'Stayin' Alive' kept them going since they began performing together as early as 1958.
It is estimated that they have sold over 180 million records.
