It had been a twenty year wait for Paul Weller’s hugely successful 2008 Australian tour, but we must have struck a chord with him because now he’s on his way back.
Pre-sale tickets will be selling from noon on April 16 to 5pm April 22, and fans who book tickets through that period will receive a priority download of Weller’s 10th album ‘Wake Up Nation’ included in the price.Three fans who book during that period will also go into the draw to win a whole bunch of cool Paul Weller stuff, including CDs and DVDs.
Weller fronted The Jam in the late 70s and despite only being together for five years their influence spread far with hits including ‘Going Underground’ Town Called Malice’. In 1983 Weller formed The Style Council with Mick Talbot whose biggest hit was ‘Shout To The Top’.
These days the majority of Weller’s set list is made up from his solo albums, which have seen him remain a superstar for his entire career in Europe, although only maintaining a cult following here in Australia.
Remember, book during the pre-sale and get a free copy of the record when it is released on April 23!
