Trans-genre artist Beck is going to be the producing force behind the new Jamie Lidell album, due out in May.
Beck not only recorded and produced the tunes, but he also co-wrote some of them and performs on several others. The record will go under the name ‘Compass’ and will hit stores on May 16 in Europe and Australia and May 17 in the USA.
It will be the sixth album for the English-born Berlin resident and it sounds like it’s going to be pretty damned good if I do say so myself. You know how I know that? Well, I clicked here and heard the title track. Think Radiohead, but without feeling like suicide after listening to it.
Beck recently lent his production and songwriting skills to Charlotte Gainsbourg’s third album ‘IRM’, released in December last year.
