Singer songwriter Ryan Bingham has followed up his Golden Globes win by winning an Academy Award for his song `The Weary Kind` in the movie `Crazy Heart`.
Bingham and producer T-Bone Burnett accepted the award together. It was the first Oscar for both.Bingham beat two nominations from Randy Newman, ‘Almost There’ and ‘Down In New Orleans’ from ‘The Princess and the Frog’, Frank Thomas and Reinhardt Wagner with ‘Lion de Paname’ from ‘Paris 36’ and Maury Yeston with ‘Take It All’ from ‘Nine’.
Bingham recorded two songs for the movie ‘Crazy Heart’. The other one was ‘I Don’t Know’.
He has recorded two albums, ‘Mescalito’ in 2007 and ‘Roadhouse Sun’ in 2009.
