Ringo Starr will have his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week.
The Beatles drummer will be the recipient of the 2401st star on the Walk Of Fame and be at the unveiling on Monday at 7pm outside, appropriately, 1750 N. Vine St in front of the historic Capitol Records Building.Ringo and the various solo Beatles recorded many of their songs in that building. In fact, the video for Ringo’s 1974 hit ‘Only You’ was filmed on the rooftop of Capitol Records in Hollywood.
Monday, February 8th will also for the 50th anniversary to the day in which construction for the Hollywood Walk of Fame began.
Ringo was previously featured in the Hollywood Walk of Fame when The Beatles received their star in 1998. It is at 7080 Hollywood Blvd.
John Lennon and George Harrison also have a star each outside 1750 Vine.
Paul McCartney is yet to be inducted.
Ringo has also announced the line-up for his 11th All-Starr band. Edgar Winter on sax and keyboards, Gary Wright on keyboards and Gregg Bissonette on drums. New to the All Starrs are Rick Derringer on guitar, Richard Page (Mr. Mister) on bass and Wally Palmar (Romantics) on guitar and harmonica.
