Are you looking for something you can dance around your kitchen to? Or perhaps you’re looking for something you can belt out the lyrics to on a road trip with your girlfriends? Well look no further – we have just the thing for you, Tiff Jimber's second EP 'The Foundation'
Let's face it if you're a female – chances are you've danced around in your underwear singing Sara Bareilles into your hair brush but now she has some serious competition on her hands.
Jimber's music is comprised of similar pop music peaks however it is more fun to listen to. You could only describe her as Regina Spektor's kindred soul. She has a similar quirky voice, funky lyrics and even though the themes aren't always the happiest you ALWAYS want to dance when you hear her music.
The most refreshing thing about this EP is that there is no obvious studio trickery. It's all real and it's all beautiful. Jimber's vocal strength really makes the EP as powerful as it is. With the help of a four piece band and some fantastic rhythm 'The Foundation' could have almost come straight out of the eighties. The old school pop melodies present throughout each track could almost transport you through time.
The track to look out for on is EP is definitely the first on the disk. 'Blind Love' the song is fun, uplifting and gets stuck in your head for hours. It is catchy enough that it could almost be the opening track on a television show.
