Whitney Houston continues to underwhelm on her comeback world tour with the first reviews out of UK as scathing as ones from the start of the tour in Australia.
After postponing the first three shows in the UK and cancelling the first show in France for what was called “a respiratory infection”, Houston returned to the stage in Birmingham this week and managed to bungle her signature tune ‘I Will Always Love You’.The song featured almost a minute of silence when Whitney needed to regain herself. The big-note at the end of the song was sung off-key.
Fans leaving the show called it “a con”, “A rip-off” and “a waste of money” mirroring the sentiment of the Australian fans who where the unlucky guinea pigs first convinced to hand over upwards of $200 a ticket for a below average performance.
Words like “horrendous” and “appalling” litter the UK reviews.
The Whitney Houston European tour is scheduled to end in Manchester on June 17.
