Carole King and James Taylor together has happened often on record but rarely on stage. Their `The Troubadour Reunion Tour` is special for that alone.

To see Carole King perform her songs is, in itself, an amazing experience. You have heard the term "a voice of a generation" before well Carole King is the voice of generations. Her music is timeless. Goffin-King as songwriters are the equals for Lennon-McCartney and Jagger-Richards. These are songs that will resound with our children, our children's children and their children. The songs of Carole King will be remembered for generations and what an honor to see her perform them live.

To see James Taylor perform his songs is equally breathtaking. Taylor spoke to his fans through his music. 'Fire and Rain' is one of the most emotional songs of all time. 'You've Got A Friend' was the musical answer to anyone in any relationship doubt in the last 40 years. These were their songs. These where what they were singing for us in concert tonight.

I was lucky enough to be part of the audience, witnessing these two incredibly talented singer/songwriters perform a lifetime of hits together. It was both a pleasure and a privilege for the chance to hear these songs live. This is truly one of the greatest live events of all time.

Melbourne Australia hosted the first show of the world tour of the 2010 Carole King and James Taylor: The Troubadour Reunion Tour. In 2007, Taylor and King played a series of shows to mark the 50th anniversary of The Troubadour and decided to take the show on the road.

From the very beginning when they walked onstage together and stood gazing out into the audience, smiling, welcoming us to join them for an evening of song, they set the tone for the night. And they didn’t disappoint.

All up they played for three hours with a 20 minute interval. Songs such as, So Far Away, Smackwater Jack, Your Smiling Face, Steamroller Blues, Fire and Rain, I Feel the Earth Move, You’ve Got A Friend (they alternated singing the verses, dedicating the song to each other) and Locomotion helped to create an overwhelming sense of awe in their combined sheer amount of talent.

Playing song after song, hit after hit, it seemed like the entire audience was not only singing along to the chorus but to every word of every song. It was very evident that these two were good friends, very comfortable with each other, laughing, joking and including the crowd as if it was an intimate gathering of friends.

For those lucky ones to see these shows, you will not be disappointed.
