Music legend James Taylor is giving fans guitar lessons at his website.
Taylor says he has been “meaning to do this for a long time” and will be adding new videos over the coming months. Taylor is now giving note by note explanations and examples of how he wrote his songs.
On guitar lesson one he teaches the e minor chord as used on the track ‘Little Wheel’ and reveals a James Tayor trade-secret – fake fingernails.
“Human nails are not strong enough to put up with the repeated punishment that finger-picking puts them through,” he says. James also says he went to a salon and had fake nails installed on his fingers but in cases of emergency had to come up with an instant solution to do it himself whenever needed. The video at the site shows his technique.
