Susan Boyle`s `I Dreamed A Dream` album has now sold 1.8 million in America in just three weeks. The current title-holder for biggest seller of the year is Taylor Swift for `Fearless`.
According to Nielsen SoundScan, ‘Fearless’ has sold 2.53 million copies this year making it the biggest seller so far.Lets not discount the SuBo factor. Susan Boyle’s 1.8 million is for just three weeks sales and there are still two more chart weeks to go before the end of the year.
Susan Boyle also had a new chart record this week when ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ sold more than 500,000 units in America. She became the first female ever to sell more than 500,000 units in the first three weeks.
Christmas is coming and it looks like a lot of people will be getting ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ as their stocking stuffer.
Based on first day sales this week, Hits Daily Double is suggesting ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ may sell close to 600,000 units this week putting her neck and neck with Taylor Swift.
‘Fearless’ sold 165,000 units last week. On those ratios, two weeks may just be all Susan Boyle needs to claim the number one album of 2009.
