Apparently popera princes Il Divo may have ex-President Bill Clinton guest on sax at future shows.
Democrat senator and former First Lady Hillary Clinton met up with the group following one of their support slots for Barbra Streisand at Madison Square Gardens in New York. Singer Carlos Marin said that Hilary was a big fan and suggested, "Maybe Bill can play saxophone with you someday." Streisand is obviously sympathetic to the Democrats cause, reportedly performing a sketch onstage mocking current president George W Bush.Il Divo's massive worldwide success has been somewhat of a surprise. They were assembled by UK pop svengali Simon Cowell, using three tenors and a baritone from Switzerland, France, Spain and the US. Their 2004 debut topped charts around the world, as did their follow-up 'Ancora' in 2005. After Christmas and World Cup-themed albums, their 'Siempre' album was released on November 27 and features operatic versions of 'Nights In White Satin', 'Have You Ever Loved A Woman', 'You Raise Me Up' as well as more covers and originals.
The boys follow their US tour with jaunts to Asia, Australia, the UK and Canada in early 2007.
