Smashing Pumpkins (well, Billy Corgan and a whole bunch of other guys) have released the first track off their new free album ‘Teargarden By Kaleidyscope’.
You can get a copy of the first song, ‘A Song For A Son’ from www.smashingpumpkins.com.The album will also have a long-winded physical release. It will appear over 11 four track E.P.s that will be released over the coming months.
Corgan told Canadian site Spinner.ca, "[‘A Song For A Son’ has] got something to do about not having any kids and thinking about why I don't have any kids, and then also kind of thinking about my relationship with my father. There's some kind of connection there, but it's not overt. I didn't set out to write that. It just rolled out of me.”
The album will also have a guest appearance from Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro.
The current studio lineup is just Billy Corgan and new drummer, 19 year old Mike Byrne.
