Craig Nicholls of The Vines joined The Smashing Pumpkins on stage last night at Sydney’s Big Top at Luna Park.
Nicholls led the Pumpkins through his own hit ‘Get Free’ from their 2002 debut ‘Highly Evolved’.
Nicholls’ sister Jessica was clearly excited by the news, saying over Twitter “Craig just sang Get Free on stage with Smashing Pumpkins ...... Fuck!!!!!”
The band’s set list has been very new-album-heavy, with only a smattering of tracks from their “classic” period, but the band are still being held in high regard.
Their latest album ‘Teargarden By Kaleidyscope’ is out now.
