Graham Coxon has said he would "think about" returning to Blur if the band asked him to.
Speaking to Pitchfork, the guitarist said, "Would it be a bit too scary? What would the dynamic be in a studio? Would I have to do promotion? Would I tour? You know, it's a lot of thinking. So I guess I still mull around and think about it every now and then."Coxon indicated that relations between him and his former bandmates have smoothed in recent times, and that he considers bassist Alex James a lifelong friend. "I guess they all will be in some way," he went on, "but it's somewhat strange".
Coxon was asked to leave Blur prior to their last release, 2003's 'Think Tank'. He was reportedly unhappy with the band's new, electronic influenced direction. He has released two successful solo albums since then: 2004's 'Happiness In Magazines' and more recently, 'Love Travels At Illegal Speeds'.
