Long gone are the days where Blur and Oasis are both written about by the same writer on the same day, but it's always nice to reminisce from time to time. So, we'll tell you that Graham Coxon (ex-Blur) has hinted about wanting to rejoin the band.
In an interview with NME, he said "It's gone through my mind a few times, believe it or not. I know a lot of Blur fans are annoyed with what I did. I really did have to leave when I did."I'm not ruling anything out, you know. I've made a couple of solo albums and now I'm in a really collaborative frame of mind."
He hasn't of course mentioned that he will be joining the band, just that he isn't ruling it out.
Of course he would have to wait for Blur singer Damon Albarn to be finished with his own runaway success, expected to kick off again with The Good, The Bad and The Queen - a band featuring members of The Clash, The Verve and Femi Kuti.
In December 2006, Blur bassist Alex James told BBC Radio 5 that he had met with Coxon about the possibility of a Blur reunion, although was hesitant to say anything too specific.
Coxon left the band in 2002 to persue a solo career. Blur have never had a major hit since he left, although they still manage to have decent album sales with everything they release.
