Taasha Coates of The Audreys took a ride on the weekend at the Australian Superbikes in Phillip Island, Victoria.
Coates got three laps in on the back of the Kawasaki ZX-10R two seater, piloted by World Supersport #2 and Australian Superbike rider Kev Curtain. The singer hit speeds of 250km/hr on the straight and saw the horizon tilt terrifyingly close to vertical in the corners.
“It was terrifying,” Coates told Undercover. “It was a once in a lifetime opportunity, but I wouldn’t be rushing to do it again.”
“Don’t tell my mother,” she continued. “I used to ride a bike, but she knows that. This was different.”
In a post on twitter, she referred to the experience as "the most terrifying 5.5 minutes of my life"
It was the final round in the 2009 series, and for those of you interested, the new Australian champion is 22 year old Suzuki rider Josh Waters.
