Britney Spears was reportedly unimpressed with a skit during Tuesday's American Music Awards which mocked her soon-to-be ex-husband, Kevin Federline.
Despite seeming cheery whilst presenting an award to Mary J. Blige, Britney was later said to be "blindsided and upset" at the prank, which saw a K-Fed look-alike packed into a large box and thrown into the ocean. Host Jimmy Kimmel soon quipped, "a whole school of fish just got pregnant." The comedian went on to describe the wannabe hip-hop artist as "the world's first no-hit wonder".People Magazine quoted an unnamed source as saying, "Some (of Spears' associates) were with her, and they were pissed. They asked that it not be shown on the (West Coast) feed." It was shown on the West Coast feed.
The incident was undoubtedly more interesting than the awards themselves, with Black Eyed Peas, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nickelback and Rascal Flatts leading a predictable parade of winners.
