One Great Night On Earth is a music event for Victoria to support the damage from the extreme weather conditions the state has faced in the past year and will face in the years to come.
Project Director Lyndel Moore has founded charity organisation Fine Green Paddock to attract major international artists to the event planned for November 2011.“Weather conditions are set to become more extreme over the next 20 years and the need to develop this event and raise funds for this charity are now more important than ever,” she says in a statement at the One Night On earth website.
Victoria suffered devastating damage from bushfires in January this year. The loss of life and property add up to hundred and millions of dollars in damage.
All proceeds from the One Great Night On Earth event will go back directly to the community.
Companies are also invited to become early adapters of the event through foundation sponsorship packages at the website.
