Independent Newcastle rock band Head of State have had their song ‘Pointless' added to Neil Young's list of protest songs.
The band are the second Australian band to have a protest song added to Neil Young's page at http://www.neilyoung.com/lwwtoday/lwwsongspage.html, the first being Perth's Eurogliders.The chorus of the song sums up the feelings of the artists on the page; “It seems so pointless/why don't you agree?”
Head of State were sent a handwritten note of praise from none other than Tom Waits after he heard their debut EP back in 1994.
