Iggy Pop and James Williamson Era Stooges Go Live

Iggy Pop has reactivated The Stooges following the death of Ron Asheton in January this year.

The newly revised version of The Stooges brings back James Williamson who was very much a part of the 1973 ‘Raw Power’ album. Williamson replaces Asheton for the original album.

For the shows prior to Asheton’s death, nothing from ‘Raw Power’ made the setlist.

Now 62-year old, Iggy is every much the punk he was 40 year ago when he first started the band.

Pop has announced that this version of The Stooges will be working hard live throughout 2010.

Here is the new setlist for The Stooges:

Raw Power (from Raw Power, 1973)
Kill City
Search & Destroy (from Raw Power, 1973)
Gimme Danger (from Raw Power, 1973)
Cock in my Pocket
Shake Appeal (from Raw Power, 1973)
Loose (from Fun House, 1970)
1970 (from Fun House, 1970)
Fun House (from Fun House, 1970)
Skull Ring (from Skull Ring, 2003)
Johanna
I Wanna Be Your Dog (from The Stooges, 1969)
Five Foot One (from New Values, 1979)
The Passenger (from Lust For Life, 1978)
Death Trip (from Raw Power, 1973)
Lust for Life (from Lust For Life, 1978)
