Aerosmith is not breaking up and will continue with a new singer following the sudden departure of Steven Tyler after 40 years of fronting the band.
“Aerosmith is definitely not breaking up,” guitarist Joe Perry said in a Twitter post.“Aerosmith is positively looking for a new singer to work with. You just can’t take 40 years of experience and throw it in the bin,” he later said.
Tyler shocked fans with his announced through the press, not through the band, that he had quit the group he fronted for four decades.
Stories then surfaced how Tyler had distanced himself from the other member of Aerosmith on their last tour.
It also means that after 40 years, Steven Tyler may finally release his first ever solo album. As he said last weekend, from now on he is focusing on ‘Brand Tyler’.
