Melbourne's own Jet took over their hometown on the weekend, with an appearance Friday at the Make Poverty History gig and an impromptu Yarra River on Sunday.
Yesterday's performance on the banks of the Yarra River was a secret gig with about 400 fans invited last minute by SMS after registering through Radio station Triple J.The band performed 4 songs, 'Stand Up', 'Are You Gonna Be My Girl', 'Look What You've Done' and 'Roll Over DJ'. 'Stand Up' was filmed and will be used as the video clip for their next single.
Jet will also perform a charity gig in Sydney to mark the passing on TV star Belinda Emmett. They were to appear on Rove this week. Rove, the husband of Belinda, has cancelled his show for the immediate future.
The Sydney show will raise money for the McGrath Foundation, a cancer charity.
