A New York photographer has suffered a heart attack and died while photographing Lady Gaga.
A.J. Sokanler was covering the red carpet for the Accessories Council Awards and collapsed moments after taking a photo of Lady Gaga.Witnesses say Sokalner just fell to the crowd. He was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at nearby Bellevue Hospital.
Sokalner was one of New York’s better known celebrity photographers who was generally seen out on a shoot nearly every day.
An obituary published by The Examiner reads, "Sokalner collapsed minutes after entertainer Lady Gaga arrived at the ACE Awards, an event hosted by the Accessories Council at Cipriani, a restaurant on 42nd Street. He was part of a group of about 25 photographers working a rope line outside the event, according to photographers who were there."
