Paul Weller is set to perform three consecutive, separately themed nights in New York, showcasing his work with The Jam, The Style Council and from his solo career.
The shows mark 30 years since The Jam released their debut record 'In The City' in 1977, signalling the birth of new wave. Weller formed The Style Council in 1983, moving in more of a synth-pop direction. He went on to pursue a solo career after The Style Council disbanded in 1989.Now, for the first time ever, he will be showcasing music from all three musical eras. On Monday January 29, he will be showcasing The Jam; on Tuesday January 30, The Style Council; and Wednesday January 31, his entire career. The concerts will take place at Irving Plaza.
The concerts will coincide with the release of 'The Hit Parade' box set, marking the first time all of Weller's material has been collected in the one release.
