Scientists around the world study the cosmos, the earth, the atmosphere, chemicals, the very building blocks that make up everything in existence, look for cures to horrible diseases and build buildings that can withstand earthquakes. Not so in Australia, where Australian scientists have invented the air guitar t-shirt.
The CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation) scientists' creation uses sensors to allow the wearer to make sounds from playing an imaginary guitar. The t-shirt sends the information gathered by the sensors to a computer using wireless technology and the computer then translates it into various chords.
Australians have always been excellent air guitarists, with Clay "Bangers" Connolly taking 2nd place in the 11th annual Air Guitar World Championships in Olulu, Finland. He was beaten by Japan's Ochi "Dainoki" Yosuke.
Something tells me these t-shirts will be a hit in Japan.
