The UK town of Feltham is to honor Freddie Mercury with a Hollywood-style star next month.
Mercury moved to Feltham when he was 12-years old. He lived in Gladstone Avenue.Feltham Council budgeted £2,000 for the star which will be laid outside the Feltham library in November.
Councillor Peter Hill told the Hounslow Chronicle, “It's not often you get someone who is world-famous living in Feltham and what we want to do is recognise success. If you are measuring success then there aren't many more successful people than Freddie. Hopefully it will inspire people and we will find some more people to remember in this way.”
The star will be unveiled on November 24.
