Megarampage, the big budget event featuring The Offspring, Good Charlotte and Wu-Tang Clan plus a 9 story high BMX ramp, has been cancelled.
The Melbourne event was to take place at Etihad Stadium on October 31.The show would feature the world’s biggest sports structure for both skate boarders and BMX riders. Jake Brown, one of only 14 riders in the world capable of conquering the ramp was going to compete on the day.
The ambitious event simply failed to sell enough tickets to make it viable to go forward.
Lil Jon, COG and Mammal were going to also play at the event with Danny Way, Bob Burnquist and Morgan Wade coming in to tap on the megaramp.
Ticketmaster has confirmed the cancellation of the show.
After 18 months in development, it just did not make financial sense for organisers to move forward.
