`Neil Young Trunk Show`, the new movie by Neil Young and directed by Jonathan Demme will premiere at the Woodstock Film Festival this weekend.
Earlier this year, Jonathan Demme, Shakey Pictures boss L.A. Johnson and Neil’s manager Elliot Roberts screened an early version minus credits of the film during the SXSW music festival in Austin.‘Neil Young Trunk Show’ is a moment in time from Neil’s ‘Chrome Dreams’ tour.
It features a stunning epic live version of ‘No Hidden Paths’ and the unreleased song ‘Kansas’ in the film.
The movie is bookended with ‘Sad Movies’ and ‘The Sultan’, two early Young pieces.
It has been a productive year for Young with the release of the ‘Fork In The Road’ album, the Archives box set, the reissue of the digitally remastered first four albums and D??jà vu on DVD.
We are also awaiting confirmation of the release of the next studio album ‘Toast’, the archive release ‘Dreamin’ Man’ and Neil’s other film LincVolt.
