Former INXS and Noiseworks singer Jon Stevens is still in hospital after almost three weeks since he had emergency open-heart surgery.
While the operation was declared a success, Jon’s condition has deteriorated following some post-operative complications doctors say is “fluid around the heart and infection”.Jon is reported to be in good spirits and is being visited daily by family and close friends.
Doctors expect to give Jon the go-ahead to leave the hospital sometime early next week.
Jon went to his doctor for a routine check-up last month and the doctor discovered a blocked artery. Last December, he had two stents inserted into the arteries of his heart.
