When Muse rocked up for a performance on the Italian TV show Live@Quelli they were told they were not allowed to perform live. They had to lip-sync. So they switched places and no one at the show noticed.
Matt Bellamy became the drummer for the show with Chris Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard out front sharing vocals.At the end of the performance, Bellamy and Wolstenholme walk off the set, so that the host can interview “the lead singer” Dominic Howard.
No one at the show picked up Muse’s humorous rebellion and now the clip is part of YouTube history.
