Days like today don't get much better, already The Sunnyboys have announced a Melbourne show independent of the Meredith Festival and now the original punk icons of Australia and the world The Saints are announcing a tour.
Perhaps the only way today could get better is if original guitarist Ed Keupper was going to be playing in The Saints 2012 Tour lineup. Judging by the obvious contempt frontman Chris Bailey and Kuepper had for each other on stage at Melbournes Forum in January 2009 its no bloody wonder Keupper isn't along for the ride. Big shame. Keupper is being replaced by the very un-punk ex-Thirsty Merc guitarist Sean Carey....
Anyhoo, the long awaited and eagerly anticipated album 'King of the Sun', released through Highway 125, comes out September 24. The album features 11 brand new Bailey compositions and includes a bonus disc 'Songs from the Stash', a selection of classic Saints material.
