Violinist Skye Steele plays on a few tracks on the new M-Lab album ‘A Bold and Hopeful Spark’.
Steele features on ‘Counting On My Memory’, ‘The Dancers’ and ‘A Shot In The Dark’.Skye Steele grew up and California where he played in string quartets with his brothers and sister.
In 1997, he moved to New York and enrolled in the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music.
In recent years he has travelled to Turkey to investigate violin traditions.
As well as M-Lab, he has recorded with Rufus Wainwright and Duncan Sheik.
