Albert Productions is about to release the compilation ‘I Hate The Music’ featuring the hits of John Paul Young.John Paul Young was discovered by Simon Napier-Bell, manager of The Yardbirds, T. Rex and Wham, who was in Australia and heard JPY in a Newcastle pub.
Napier-Bell produced his first hit song ‘Pasadena’. It reached no. 16 in Australia. Young would eventually score 12 top 40 hits in Australia during his career.
Young went on to have international successes in Europe and South Africa. He clocked up four top ten hits in South Africa.
