The new video from Green Day is `East Jesus Nowhere`.
The song is the new single from the band’s current album ‘21st Century Breakdown’.The album was released in May, 2009.
Green Day describe ‘21st Century Breakdown’ as their second soap opera following on the format they started with American Idiot.
This album was produced by Butch Vig (Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins).
Green Day wrote 45 songs for ‘21st Century Breakdown’ and spent three years writing and recording the album.
Already, ‘Know Your Enemy’ and ’21 Guns’ have been released as singles.
‘East Jesus Nowhere’ will be released as the third single from the album on October 19.
Billie Joe Armstrong wrote the song as a rebuke to religion after attending the baptism of a friend’s child.
