White Stripes front man Jack White has been pretty busy lately, between his own label, a White Stripes doco and now his first solo song.
White wrote the song ‘Fly Farm Blues’ for ‘It Might Get Loud’, a doco featuring White, Jimmy Page and The Edge, which will hit theaters this month, while the song is released next week (August 11).The song will be released on White’s own Third Man Records as part of their subscription service, as well as on iTunes.
Other projects coming up for the label include a band Transit, which is made up of Nashville city transit workers, including cleaners, mechanics, drivers and office workers. They will have two tracks produced by White called ‘C’mon and Ride’ and ‘Afterparty’.
Both White’s solo single and the Transit 7” will be released on August 11 through Third Man Records.
