Danny Goldberg, one time manager of Nirvana and Beastie Boys, will be a speaker at the Big Sound music conference in Brisbane.
Big Sound is the annual conference funded by the Queensland Government.The conference attracts key music industry people from all over the world. “These are the managers that can help launch careers around the world,” Program Director Stephen Green says. “To have them in Brisbane for BIG SOUND provides a huge opportunity for local artists and industry to not only learn from their experiences, but make invaluable contacts.”
Attending the conference this year will also be Frank Stroebele (Eye Sound GER), Mark Kates (Fenway Recordings UK), Tim Prior (Rightsman UK), Jacco Van Lanen (The Alternative Management NETHERLANDS), Brian Heatherman (Curve Music/Cerebrus Artist Management CAN), Petri Lunden (Hagenburg SWE), Leon Retief (Southern Pulse RSA), Jake Beaumont-Nesbitt (International Royalties Rescue UK), and Teresa Patterson (CRS Management NZ).
Big Sound 2009 is on from September 9 to 11 in the hub of Queensland music centre, Fortitude Valley.
