Nine Inch Nails front man Trent Reznor has praised the Beastie Boys’ newly announced reissues of Ill Communication.
Yesterday Reznor said over Twitter “Beastie Boys / TopSpin get it right once again. This is how you sell music today,” while offering a link to the innovative album. The record, which turns 15 this year, will be reisssued in four different formats.
The most expensive is a three-LP collectors edition vinyl that is limited to 1500 copies and contains the deluxe remastered album and twelve bonus tracks and rarities, a six panel gatefold package and you can download all thirty two tracks immediately after purchase.
If nearly a hundred bucks is a bit too steep for you (ok, it’s $US89.98), then you can opt for the standard double vinyl (which doesn’t include the 12 bonus tracks, but you can download them) for $25.98, the double CD for $19.98 or the download only version for $16.98.
No matter what version you buy, you can download the album instantly, complete with the twelve bonus tracks. All of the files are DRM free and are available in high quality MP3, Apple Lossless or FLAC formats.
The CD and Standard vinyl versions will be shipped by the 14th of July, but the downside to ordering the amazing deluxe version is that you’ll have to wait until the 31st of August for it to leave the warehouse.
Now, who wants to buy me the deluxe version? It can be my Christmas AND birthday present, I swear!
