Possibly the most awesome band in the world, The Melvins, have put together a remix album with a bizarre twist.
The band gave prospective remixers an entire album to source material from, and in some instances, material came from a variety of albums.Sonic Youth guitarist Lee Ronaldo has pieced together the ‘EggNog Trilogy’ with the parts consisting of ‘i) She’s Ivanhoe, ii) Cancer, iii) Inebriated’.
The end result is 'Chicken Switch' and it's out on September 29 through Ipecac Recordings. The complete track listing is:
