In news that has been otherwise swamped by the death of the King of Pop, Farrah Fawcett has died, aged 62.
The former Charlie’s Angels star has passed away after a long battle with anal cancer.She had been in hospital for the last two weeks.
Fawcett began her TV career in 1969 with appearances in ‘I Dream Of Jeanie’, ‘The Flying Nun’ and ‘The Partridge Family’, but it was her role as Jill Munroe in Charlie’s Angels that she is most known for.
Her filmography includes appearances in the Sci-Fi thriller ‘Logan’s Run’ and the comedy whodunit, ‘Somebody Killed Her Husband’.
Shortly before her death her longtime partner Ryan O’Neal proposed to her and she accepted, although they did not have time to get married.
