Green Day has put a system in place to combat ticket scalping for their upcoming Australian tour.
Plan 1 is to issue 300 general admission tickets for every show that will only be available by lining up at designated outlets. Each person will be able to buy two tickets giving the best tickets to those 150 fans per show.The second plan is to hold back the delivery of tickets purchased online, at outlets or over the phone until November for collection. Auction sites, such as eBay, require a seller to physically have the product they are selling in their possession. By holding back delivery of the tickets, many auction sites will not allow the sale of the tickets.
Green Day will commence their Australian tour in Perth on December 4.
