Can you believe someone is trying to make money off an allegation as ridiculous as an unsubstantiated claim that Jimi Hendrix was murdered?
James ‘Tappy’ Wright, a former roadie for Hendrix, claims in a new book that the guitarist was murdered by his manager Michael Jeffrey for an insurance scam.Jeffrey isn’t around to defend himself. He died in 1973. Wright claims he fessed up to the crime in 1971.
Jeffery also managed the Animals and was a former associate of Dan Arden, the father of Sharon Osbourne.
Since his death, his named has often been dragged threw mud by people claiming that he ripped of Hendrix, channelled income to off-shore accounts and had connections with US intelligence.
‘Tappy’ claims Jeffrey plied Hendrix with pills and then a bottle of red wine to do the deed.
His allegations will be made public in the book ‘Rock Roadie’, due out in July.
So why now if it is true and if it is true why weren’t these allegations investigated when he started the research for the book? Probably because it is complete bullshit.
